• Hold the home button and the power button equally for 10 seconds.
• Then release the power button and keep on holding the home button.
• After a very few seconds of holding the home button, a dialogue box will appear on your desktop.
• The dialogue box will ask you to restore your iphone/ipod/ipad. 
• Click on yes/ok in the dialogue box. Then the process starts.
• Let the process finish and then follow the instructions.
• Your device will restart and the password will be broken.
• Now your device is ready to use.
